Hello all, I have generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder, much better today than when I was younger. I do take both Clonazepam and Alprazolam, (Klonopin and Xanax) daily and have so for over 20 years. It remains effective for daily anxieties but I will be flying later in July and will have to take an escalated dose. I'm a nurse practitioner and I prescribe these medications so I'm aware of the risks and dangers. I will need these meds to fly, as simply as that. I've been going to counseling 2x weekly for the last 3 months and have done ok, I'm looking for other modalities for panic disorder, something to do on the plane; ie tapping: some kind of meditation, some kind of special music or something to listen to. All advice is welcome, and I'd be happy to give an off the record medical opinion to others, thanks all

I've never flown, but I think it's a combination of heights, somewhat small space, inability to " pull over" lol. And foremost, there's no place to escape in a plane that's private. I know I can go to the bathroom, but I mean for an extended period. I'd love a plane with rooms! Lol
