hi i've been suffering from panic attacks since the birth of my second child.i do well on paxil but still get skipped heartbeats.after my last panic attack i've been getting them in runs of three and four. i was wondering if anyone else experiences them like this? they seem to get worse with every panic attack.even though i'am on paxil when i notice them more than one at a time it's hard not to get anxious about them

Hi, I started experiencing these after the birth of my daughter in May 2004. I became obsessed with checking my pulse and was really scared. It took me over two years to learn to live with the skipped beats and stop focusing on my heart all the time and accept that it is down to anxiety. I still get panic attacks usually out of the blue in the middle of the night, but I try not to let them get to me. As long as your doc has reassured you that that's all they are, try not to focus on them too much. I know it's hard, but being anxious really does make the skipped beats more noticeable. Feel free to PM me if you ever want to chat.
