I take ramipril but don't take anything else that I am unsure of but I am pretty sure what dose will be ok.

Just got off the phone after talking to a 111 nurse who tried to find the interaction between ramipril and peptac and she couldn't...so she's put me through to an out of hours dr who will ring in the next 2 hrs..
Dno if that's a good thing or what

I meant to say "that dose" not "what dose"

I googled as well and didn't find anything about it

All it seems to do is reduce the absorption of ace inhibitors

It is only a minor interaction and only taking them together once should not cause any problems.

I think it is only if you take them within 2 hours of each other that there can be problem but only minor so nothing to worry about.

The Dr basically said...They only write it down because of the sodium lvls of both medications. He said its okay to take it now and then but not on an ongoing basis.
So if anyone does take ramipril he recommended getting omeprazole instead or any of the prazoles for that matter.
