Side effects from Prednisone/steroids

Hi, well I haven't posted in quite some time and have really been doing well until recently. I have had bronchitis/asthma for over 4 weeks which has absolutely knocked me about. The dr put me on a preventer/inhaler as well as a high dose of prednisone. I was only on them for about 5 days and stopped about 2 days ago. As much as it's wonderful to be able to breathe better, the side effects from the prednisone have been awful. I have had terrible insomnia, shaky hands, tight chest and just down right depressed and anxious. Has anybody else suffered from this and if so, how long do the effects last once you stop? Thanks
