Today I went to the hairdressers and felt very anxious for no reason, I know nothing bad will happen, but when I got inside I started feeling very nauseous, dry mouth,hot, light headed. I managed to get through it and leave and it went away about 10 mins after I left, although I continued to feel nauseous for hours. Does this sound like a panic attack? ive never had one before

I frequently feel like this when I go to the hairdressers or to the dentist. It's anxiety about being stuck in a chair with your hair wet or with a dentist probing around inside your mouth, whilst your anxiety levels are creeping up and you can't just get up and run out for fear of embarrassment.

Same reason why I never book concert tickets unless they are at the end of a row at the back of the auditorium - then if my anxiety becomes unbearable Ican get up and slip out without anyone noticing.
