View Full Version : Could this be counted as a panic attack?

Hiya there:]

A few days ago, I took my dog, Zedebe (she has a calm personality normally), on a walk with my sister. After a few minutes we had reached a large (not that busy with few cars) roundabout. We were next to a large terrain of grass and Zedebe pulled forward suddenly and the lead ripped out of my hands. She started darting around before the road. My sister got her after a few seconds but during that time I had just uncontrollably broke down onto the grass and started laughing loudly. I don't know why because that was serious and she could've gotten killed. I feel absolutely guilty I did that. I have had two panic attacks before, but I can't tell what this was. Was it just a reaction to nervousness?

Thanks.

Yes - stressful situations cause you to laugh when it's it seems to be the most inappropriate thing to do.

It certainly wasnt a panic attack.

I agree with Brunette. A panic attack would cause many more symptoms. This seemed like a rather unusual reaction to a very stressful incident.

Positive thoughts

Hi,
I think this is just a reaction to what happen. Just think positively.
