Tonight I haven't been feeling good and laid down and propped up on a pillow.I sat here for a bit and turned my head twice to the right and when I turned back I saw stars or flashing bits of light in my eyes.. Can anyone tell me if this is something bad or normal?

PRAYER FOR FREEDOM FROM SUFFERING

May all beings everywhere plagued
with sufferings of body and mind
quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid,
and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending each other.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness--
the children, the aged, the unprotected--
be guarded by beneficent celestials,
and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

This happens to me all the time, when I turn my head quickly or for a longer period of time (sort of stretching my eyes to see something out to the side).
So I would say absolutely normal and nothing to worry about.
It also happens to me when I bend over and get up too quickly.

Happens to me too if I move my head a bit too quickly at times.

"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Hi

I just posted about 'seeing light spots' two above your post, does this sound like the same or similar thing to what you have posted. I have definately learnt that the body does loads of weird stuff in anxiety/stress/panic states.

Take care

Just replying to say I also have this. Found this thread through a search. Usually I get it if I turn my head pretty far to the left or right or turn my head at a weird angle.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully anyone else who might freak out about this also sees this.
