Hi All

Over the last year or so I seem to be suffering more and more from claustrophobia where it now seems to be dictating my life!

I avoid public transport, lifts, crowded places....going to gigs used to be a massive part of my life, now it means hell to me!

My husband has booked us a holiday in 2 weeks time to Florida (I know I am lucky), however the thoiught of being on a flight for 9 hours terrifies me, being confided and knowing I cant escape, my doctor has given me 2mg diazepam to take but am terrified of taking them (even lose its the lowest dosage you can get)

Can someone please help and give some advice.

I feel a complete loser and at a loss how to overcome these issues - claustrophobic is bad enough, never mind being tablet phobic lol

Hi bm
:welcome: to the forum/site

I take 2mg diazepam for flying it does help and I also try to book a seat with extra leg room with a window (over the wings is good ) I also use and iPod with a story book or two on it so I can close my eyes and just listen to it.
