Had some blood tests done. 3 sections.

Automated differential.
Basic Metabolic panel.
CBC with differential

The doctor said the blood results came out fine and there was nothing to worry about. I was handed a copy of the paper work and I didnt bother to look at it until a day later. Well I noticed that the Automated differential came out as abnormal.

3 of the results came out abnormal.

Neut % 49 ................. 50-70%
Eos % 9 .................... 0-8%
Eos abs .8 ................. 0.0-0.3

Other than that everything was good. So my Neut% and Eos% is out of whack. The eos abs especially is crazy high from the looks of it.

Why would my doctor say my blood work was okay yet those are abnormal results?

Well, I think 1% above or below the range counts as normal.

Do you suffer from any allergies, asthma, hayfever, eczema? High eosinophil absolute can be indicative of these. Wouldn't say it's anything to worry about, many people have allergies they aren't aware of which cause no symptoms but cause a slight immune response.
