Sarah!! Good News!

For those of you who have been following Sarah's story (and mine!) this year (and if not have a look at our website below) I just want to let you all know that one long year exactly since my beautiful daughter-in-law relapsed with Leukaemia she had a bone marrow transplant in November and is doing unbelievably well.

She had blood tests done today - a year to the day since a blood test showed the cancer had returned and we really believed there was no hope of finding a donor or of her surviving - and everything is going fantastically well. She has been home for over a month, although not strong enough to go out of the house but we will all be having the best christmas ever.

I am overwhelmed with relief today. She is not out of the woods but this christmas we will all get to share some happy times which we never dreamt was possible for 11 months of this year....

Miracles really do happen....

Thank you to all the people who have given me so much support on this site - all the wonderful mods and the few special people (you know who you are!!!) who have listened to me and encouraged me through some of the bleakest days of my life....

I was so happy when I got your text today saying the results were good, so pleased for you all. Sarah really deserves this so much and what a relief for you, Mark and all who care about her - and the best Xmas present ever.

It's been a hard year for you all hasn't it and I hope this is the start of more good things to come.

It's making shivers go though me as I read this news as it did when I got the text - I really was beaming :D.

Thanks to you for all your support too Fee, you're an amazing person to have been through so much and still be here for me and others.
