So I've had dp/dr pretty much constant for the last month or so. The one thing that bothers me the most is not recognising myself in the mirror?
Does anyone know how long this lasts & if it's normal that it's constant x

I've been experiencing this a bit more now, and I think it may stem from some anxiety due to the fact that I am now in a serious relationship.

I'll catch myself pausing to glance at a mirror or window (if it is reflective enough) out of paranoia of another person being there and wanting to look at them (I guess screen them would be a way to put it). I've been using Tianeptine to try and help cut this as well as my anxiety down, and so far it has been helpful along with the various other things I'm doing to try and cut down on both my DP/DR and Anxiety.

Sammy,
I know exactly the feeling you're describing and it is horrible and so scary!!! I've had it for over 1year or more I can't remember exactly.. everything from that time to me is like a bad dream...Of course, it was one of the symptoms of the GAD and a panic attacks I’ve had...But, it all normalized since I'm on cipralex...
I'd suggest you see a doctor, it should help..
I was in hell before, now I'm back to life I thought I’ve lost forever..

In addition, here is some reading that explains DP..Hope this helps..
Take care
