Can Head lice cause swollen lymph nodes?

Hi I have posted recently about intense itching. I also have a hard fixed non movable lymph node on the bone behind my ear. I checked 3 times for head lice but tonight broke down because of the intense itching and my husband cheeked my hair. He found some lice and eggs as well as red marks on my head.

My question is could the lice cause the lymph node swelling? Also I have itchy marks on my arms could this be caused by them too?

I am not convinced and awaiting blood test results which I am sure will be something wrong with as my lymph node is up a lot and is hard fixed and does not move.

Yes, you have a parasite feeding off your blood. Get lice shampoo right away. Wash all sheets, hair ties, etc.. I had a bad bought of head live when I was 18. I used the shampoo and it came back. My advice would be use the shampoo then use it again a week later. Don't worry about the node get rid of the lice!
