I saw a cardiologist a few months ago and he said my heart rate was averaging at about 90bpm, but dropped down to a 'healthy bradycardia' of 47/49 when I was asleep. However, this week I noticed for a few days my heart rate was in the 60's, sometimes 50's at rest which isn't normal for me at all. Now it's gone back to being really high again today - I woke up and it was 89!!! Does any one else have a resting heart rate that goes up and down this much? The other day when it was really low, I was more anxious than ever! That combined with this unbearable sleepiness and faint feeling is scaring me so much.

Hi Chloe

My resting heart rate differs a lot too. I have learned after all this time to ignore it as I surely would have had something wrong with me by now if it wasn't 'normal'. Mine never goes lower than 60 but can go as high as over 100! Dunno why it's like that but I try so hard not to worry about it as it always goes back down again. Lots of different things can make your heart rate differ, it's impossible to be the same all the time.

BTW I wouldn't have any idea what mine does when I'm asleep. If you wake up when you're dreaming your heart will be going faster and your breathing probably too.

Please try not to worry, you have seen a specialist who knows a thing or two about it:winks::winks:
