View Full Version : Calcium & magnesium- ph balance

I've been taking calcium with magnesium & have heard & read that it creates an alkaline environment in the body when taken in double dose. Now from what ive read disease cannot survive in an alkaline environment. Does anyone know anything about this? Also apparently high blood pressure cannot survive alkaline environment. Any feedback or info on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm interesting in learning about this. Thank You!

Magnesium Chloride will help with depression and anxiety. I know this as I have been taking the supplement Slow-Mag you can purchase it on amazon. Also below is a link to a great book on all the benifits magnesium has to offer.

I know that if you place your body below the required PH range, it will make you suspectible to disease and that by maintaining the PH balance your body is more able to fight disease.

I'm not sure on keeping a more alkaline state. I've heard of diets that aim too do this but they seemed aimed at weight loss, used by celebs and I guess are short term affairs as surely balance is better?

Various organs and your blood all need a different PH range, which I assume maintain themselves given a healthy diet is used.

Candida can also thrive where the stomach is more alkaline, so you may need to compensate for that. Probiotics will probably do that as they secrete acids. You can get PH strips and perform various tests, but I am not sure about testing the stomach.

Are there any specialist forums for this subject? It seems quite niche so may need an audience more into it.

I take magnesium taurate and I can say, amazing, this has changed how I feel for good! Great stuff and really made a difference for gad/low mood.
