Knee issues, dislocation

So last night I was sitting down and my knee dislocated itself. My family has wonky knees so wasn't overly surprised by this but still, ouch!

Today both my legs are sore, along with lower back and my butt. Hard to sit down and get back up again.

Have I done something more than damage my knee? Has anyone else experienced this?

I've dislocated my knee twice, both trauma induced. Mine hurt like buggery and had to be reduced (pushed back in).

How old are you? I was told dislocations occur frequently in teenage girls, but are generally less serious than trauma induced dislocations.

If you have dislocated it, I would recommend trip to docs to check for any secondary damage - ligaments or cartilage. If it's not been too painful it's probably fine though. You may just need Physio to strengthen some muscles.
