Baking powder

Anyone know if its dangerous to take baking POWDER for heartburn? I know bicarbonate of soda/baking soda is ok but just read that baking powder is dangerous mixed with water and drunk. I've tried googling but can't find anything so just seeing if anyone knows or if I should go to hospital.

Hi, Taking BAKING SODA "NOT" baking powder (they're different), I think its safe...Try watching tutorials on youtube for the right dosage and be sure to choose the "FOOD GRADE or labeled as natural, but I think they're the same.

Again, BAKING SODA/SODIUM BICARB not baking powder... :)

I think baking powder and water may just cause some bubbles and foam in your belly, and probably make you feel sick. However, unless you ate a cup of baking powder, I think you should safe. If you have severe stomach cramps or vomiting it might be a good idea to pop to the doctor, but otherwise it's likely you will be just fine. :)
