Diazepam

Hi,

My Dr has given me some 5 mg tabs of Diazepam to take twice each day when required. Am also on Venlafaxine and beta-blockers - does anyone know what sort of side effects they might have? Don't want to be like a zombie!

I've took diazepam in the past. I have never experienced any side effects besides for drowsiness. Might be an idea to take half of the 5mg and see how you go with that. I have some in my cabinet, often just knowing they are there is enough of a reassurance.

Hey Caramel I also take diazepam and venlafaxine. Im surprised ur doc started u with 5mg twice a day. I use 2mg tabs as and when i need them and find them very usefull for stressfull events. The thing to be carefull of is diazepam are very addictive. Ur body gets used to it and it takes more and more to get the same effect. Also, coming off them can be hard if u take them regularly. I wd advise u to go for the 2mg tabs and only take when needed. Side effects for me only include drowsiness a bit, but I feel good when on them.
