Vibrating eardrum! What on earth!

So I was just lying down and then all of a sudden I got this weird vibrating feeling and sound in my ear! If I could liken it to anything it would be that a fly has got in ear (it hasn't) and is trying to get out.

Anyone else had this?

I had this a few years ago. It was like a vibrating or thumping feeling in my eardrum that would come and go. I went to see an ent doctor and he diagnosed it as a muscle twitch which I think he called tensor tympanic syndrome. He said it had a chance of getting better itself or they could snip the muscle if it stayed very annoying. After a few months it went away however.

Going through the ear twitch now.... It's been a couple weeks with it off and on... Ugh!

Btw, mine is like an eye twitch but in my ear, drives me insane and makes my anxiety spike!

I had this a couple of times before I started worrying about my health so much and back then didn't even give it a second thought. X
