For a number of years I used to get this sore feeling in my tailbone and this year I got the same feeling in April which went on to be a painful pilonidal abscess. I've had the cyst for probably 15 years.
I'm wondering what a flare up is for you? I think I have a slight flare up as the bottom of my tailbone/butt crease feels sore but there is no hot redness or swelling etc. It seems to feel like it did many times before the infections.
I'm waiting to have cyst removed and probably the sinus taken out too and I cannot wait!
