I'm having a Endoscopy next wendsday since I've had a serious heartburn, bloating and indigestion.
And my voice has been hoarsed for almost 2months. I've had dry cough for about a month or so. I've taken a inflammatory medicine and the cough has been suppressed. I've also taken a chest xray and the result came clean.
I'm going to see an ear and throat speciailst tomorrow morning for the hoarseness. I'm very very scared they might something seroius.
My anxiety starts in the morning when I wake up and stays all day.
It bacame 24/7.
I'm worrying about tomorrow appointment and endoscopy too.
I'm sure if they perform an endoscopy and If I have soemthing bad in my throat they will find it. but I can't wait until next wendsday so I decided to make an appointment with ear n thorat specialist.

Has anyone had same worries or is anyone having same issue as mine?

Please somebody talk to me!!!!

thanks.

In honesty I think anxiety before any test is entirely normal. But you also need to remember that a) the vast majority of tests for anything are negative, even when presenting symptoms might be entirely fitting with whatever condition, and b) the vast majority of things are treatable.

I've recently just got over a cold and along with it I had a terrible dry cough which stayed with me for 3 weeks. I had my chest checked too and was told it was clear. It's been about 4 weeks now since my cold started and i'm still stuck with hoarseness/thick sounding voice. There's been a lot going around lately and many people have been having trouble getting rid of coughs, have you been feeling generally under the weather at all, flu like symptoms? I also suffer with non allergic rhinitis which I found out after visiting an ENT specialist. (Hormone fluctuations, hot and cold weather, emotions and stress) can all cause a flare up which leads to an over production of post nasal drip. My throat can get really dry and 'full' so to speak thanks to it. I imagine my chest also suffers as i'm constantly having to swallow the mucus. Can you relate here? I also suffer from constant indigestion but that can be a common symptom of anxiety. When anxious we tense up therefore trapping air in certain places. I also experience bloating from time to time and the other day I experience the unpleasant thing that it acid reflux (i've been under a lot of stress and anxiety lately). All of your symptoms I have experienced on and off over time and another symptom we both have is anxiety and I know for sure anxiety can cause everything you are experiencing as I have gone through it myself. Hope this helps in some way :)
