I made a roast for the first time yesterday and am now worried about the colour of the chicken. It was a whole chicken and was white throughout. However, the meat on the leg drumstick parts was more pink. Is the colour of this part tinged pink? I've put a picture to demonstrate. The top left plate in particular appears to have the most pink on.

Well... first off, that looks delicious! Secondly, looks to me like white meat and dark meat (thighs and legs are dark meat). Thirdly, if any of it were under cooked and contained bacteria, you would have been sick by now.

Mmmmmm that's made me feel hungry , the leg meat is always a different colour abit pinky so don't worry. Ps: them roasties look done to perfection :)

Oh that looks lovely...would you like to come and cook my dinner? :) The legs and wings are always a pinkier colour.
