Anybody have balloon sinuplasty? It's an outpatient procedure where they just numb your nose/sinuses and put a balloon in your sinuses to stretch the opening ... supposedly non-invasive, takes an hour, easy recovery. My ENT suggested it today after CT scan showed my sinuses weren't "diseased" but the lining was swollen from allergies.

My dilemma is since pollen has lowered the past week, my sinuses do feel better. And the procedure doesn't cure your allergies, just makes sinuses easier to drain. So was it just a bad summer for hayfever or will it be like this forever? I won't know really until next summer.

I also would be paying a lot for it because of my insurance deductible. I don't know. Has anybody done this and found it beneficial?
