View Full Version : Another mysterious symptom?

When ever I get these mysterious symptoms I have a habit of thinking "now what's the matter with me!"

This mysterious symptom concerns the sole of my left foot.

It is very very itchy. To the point of annoyance.[}:)]

On closer inspection - there looks to be something which I can only describe as 10 pin head size blisters with small amounts of watery fluid. (Like big blisters but really really tiny and itchy.)
And some have developed in to patches of dry skin where the blisters have healed and gone away.

I haven't worn shoes that have rubbed the bottom of my foot. - so that rules that out.

Any ideas anyone?

Liz,

Dunno if this is of any help but I get those as well, and also on my hands.

It almost always occurs in hot weather, so that could be the cause.

Could it be prickly heat on your hands Kate?? and possibly your feet Liz (if exposed to sun)

Otherwise I would go with the good old fashioned sweat rash !!!!!

Sweaty feet sounds good to me [^]

Not to dangerous to your health (apart from the smell [Ugh] ).
And there's me thinking it was foot and mouth ! [:P]

[Sigh...]

I must have sweaty feet too cos I have got a cut between 2 of my toes and it is really itchy and sore and doesn't seem to be drying out that well. Bit hard to sit here with my smelly feet out all day I guess lol!

Have you tried some talcum powder on yours Liz?

sounds like athletes foot to me. You can get cream and stuff from the chemists for it. Don't worry its easily sorted.

Nic - I get this when I don't dry in between my toes properly!!!!!!!

Paul - Do you get this all year round??? I know I get these little blisters (all over my hands (and feet if exposed to sun)). i wouldn't worry too much about allergy etc, we sometimes just get stuff that that for no apparent reason!!!

Liz - Yip sweaty feet/athletes feet seems like a good anxiety free reason doesn't it!!

Hi there

Its prickly heat (or as I prefer to call it 'tickly feet') :D

Yep, its really annoying but isn't anything nasty - I get it on my hands and feet in warm weather and it even keeps me awake sometimes the itching is that bad. Antihistamines can help, these can be bought over the counter at the chemists. I haven't actually tried this yet as I keep thinking its cleared up, only for another cluster to appear on a different finger or somewhere else on my foot!

Take care, Jo xx

Bit of tea tree oil wiped over would probably help.

Nic, that is definately athletes foot .
There are some great creams you can get from the chemist to treat it.

I asked the chemist about these strange lumps.
While I was getting some athletes foot cream for my toes.

"Dyshidrotic Eczema" caused by Hot weather, and wait for it ... Stress! [:P]

They can appear on either the hands or the feet, and can be treated with athletes foot or E45 cream.

So now we know ! :D

Thanks guys.
At least now we know we are either very stressed or have foot rot! [^]

Oh great Liz

I am probably not supposed to swim with that - or is that where I caught it lol.

It just itches and the skin is broken right between my toes - what a pain!!

Ok looked it up on net - now look what you did to me and it is common between the 4th and 5th toe - guess where mine is.

At a guess I got it at swimming cos I go 3 times a week.

Sigh - got to get that fixed now too.

What a wealth of info we are on here lol

Cheers for the info - now I know lol

My other half is just getting over something similar. He's found it better to not use bubble bath, as it seems to dry the skin out more and make the spots even itchier. He's switched to essential oils instead.

Much better idea.

Its the sodium laurel sulphate in our personal products that can cause this if you have sensitice skin.

There are a couple of toxin free manufacturers around who are excellent.

Ok mine isn't athletes foot I don't think. It is between the 3rd and 4th toes and seems to have dried up now so just a bit flaky. Musy have been a heat rash thingy.

Hope everyone else's is ok?
