Hello everyone.please be patient with me as I am new to these forums..
first I am glad for any support you good people can give me..
my worry is that for the last 2 months I have suffered from a
painful hard lump on my upper jaw opposite my ear.
today I saw an ENT Consultant who Diagnosed me with a Dislocated Jaw.
He as ordered a CT scan to confirm this..
I have tried to reasearch this, but am unable to find anything about this
only stuff relating to TMJ..Which baffles me. as my symptoms dont
appear to match this condition..
Maybe someone on here as the same as myself & can help me..
I am stressing at the moment, thinking the worst,.(cancer)..

Welcome to NMP. I can't help but I'm sure there are plenty of people who can. I wish you all the best.

Welcome to NMP :welcome:

Have they told you what course of treatment is required for this because this is definately an issue for a doctor as its a real physical problem not relating to anxiety although I bet its causing some!

What were you looking for, just info on treating a dislocated jaw? Dislocations occur due to various things and iit doesn't mean it has to be cancer. The scan will show them what they need and will be able to tell you whether anything is there but what did the consultant say about possible causes because they are usually pretty good at explaining the possibles as they like to be realistic with patients.

I really would try to put those fears out of your mind Eve if you can. I know that hard though and everyone who has things like these scans whether they have anxiety disorders or not tends to worry about the worst things like that.
