So I went for an appointment at my opticians today.
They did the puff test on me and have now told me that I have very high pressure in my right eye and they want to do more tests.
I'm actually so scared right now, I'm thinking i have a brain tumour as I've been getting these headaches for so long.
Someone please help me, I can't put up with this stuff anymore

On top of this, they need to put eye drops on my eye to dialate the pupil, I'm now scared
I'm going to have an allergic reaction to it and have anaphylaxis.

I'm all over the place yet again.

:(

They will do a field vision test I think it is called.

I have had this high pressure in the past but then when I had the next test it was all ok

You won't get a reaction to the dye

Hi
They did a field of vision test and said it was normal.

Does this rule out brain tumour? I'm not sure.

I don't have an understanding of how this works sorry

Thanks

When did they do that? Today?

How were your eyes apart from the high pressure and what tests are they doing next then?

They did it today.
And they will be doing the goldmann test next :(

Never heard of that one

So what did they say about your eyes apart from that

Hi Ryan,

Higher than normal pressure in your eye is nothing to do with a brain tumour - they're testing for a condition called glaucoma, which if it is present can easily be treated with eye drops.

Nevertheless, if you have been getting these recurrent headaches it's a good idea to have a chat with your doctor to put your mind at rest.

If your optician thought you could conceivably have a brain tumour he wouldn't book you in for more and more tests days apart, he'd send you straight to hospital. He didn't do you don't.
