waking up deaf in 1 ear???

I keep waking up deaf in 1 ear sometimes even both ears, I get wax that drops out my ear quite often too, also get terrible itchy ears I've tried cleaning them out with cotton buds but it doesn't really make a difference, I'm going away next week and the last thing I want is trouble with them while flying!!! Could anyone tell me what this could possibly be as I'm quite worried too!! Thanks xxx

You need to get the nurse to syringe them for you.

You should not put cotton buds in your ears either.

Rather go to an ENT Specialist. I have the exact same thing i always wake up in severe panic over it. I go to an ENT once a year, they "suck" the wax out. Syringing is not an ideal option, it comes back much quicker.

Sounds like it could be sinuses or maybe wax build up GP should sort it out
