Alzheimers and anxiety

So I started volunteer at a dementia society.
The people are amazing and lovely but I don't think I can continue, my health anxiety is ridiculous now!
I've read up on it and have now read a link between anxiety and alzheimers.
I'm terrified I have early symptoms - brain fog (all the time) forgetful all the time and i just feel like I'm not intelligent enough and losing brain cells!

Anyone else feel this way - the brain fog is just horrible.

What was the link between anxiety & dementia? If it is that a lot of people with dementia also suffer from anxiety then thats not a link between anxiety disorders and later dementia but more like a symptom of dementia sufferers in their dementia given how it affects them so badly.

Its great that you are volunteering with them. If you can get beyond these concerns then you could class this as an exposure therapy and it will help you work beyond HA resulting from other issues.
