Anyone else overthink when they're ill?

Hi, I'm currently stuck in bed with a cold and feeling sick, I've noticed that since having anxiety I overthink when I'm ill, thinking something awful might happen, when really I've just got a virus. I have been really anxious today and sat in bed sweating and shaking because I'm ill and becoming anxious. Just wondering if anyone experiences something similar and if anyone has any coping or distraction techniques?

I never used to, but since having anxiety, I do tend to panic when I'm ill and lose perspective - even a standard cold becomes a big deal!

My husband doesn't suffer from anxiety generally, but he says that he can tell when he has a bug brewing, because he starts to feel anxious and tense.
I guess it's just our bodies reacting to being out of kilter.

Yes me too! If I didn't have anxiety I'm sure I wouldn't be worried about feeling ill like I am now, thank you for your reply xx
