Sick of this HIV paranoia

I have been so good lately, with my anxiety that is. It seems when things are going good, they really go good.

Let me cut to the chase: today I gave a hi five to some kid I barely know. I know he has been around. He had a bandaid covering up this hand where there was a cut.

I think I got blood on me.. Am I at any risk?

None whatsoever!! IF he has HIV (very unlikely to start with), his bleeding cut would have had to drip/rub blood into an open cut on your hand, none of which happened. Likewise, for the sake of argument let's say you got a drop of infected blood on your intact skin - the risk is also zero. Your imagination is playing tricks on you and fuelling your anxiety. You have not been at any risk at all and are absolutely fine. Best wishes from Annie
