Adult Separation Anxiety Disorder

I've just started CBT for what I assumed to be GAD but I've been diagnosed with ASAD. It fits entirely with my symptoms and makes a lot of my behaviour easier to understand. However from what I've read, it's only recently been recognised as a mental health disorder. Has anyone any experience of ASAD?
