Hi I think I have a uti or bladder infection went to docs did a dipstick and the doc wrote notes acute cisitius nitrites +++ just wondered if anyone's had this the urine sample has been sent to lab but my anti biotics at mo I've been given don't seem to be working :( I'm guessing as he put cisitius I must have a infection of some sort any ideas people xx

Are you sure it wasn't cystitis?
Very common uti - nothing to worry about (just not very nice!)

Yeah sorry they said cystitis to me but I just can't shift it for some reason sending my wee sample off today so will hopefully have answers :( and the right medication :( I've got nitrites in my wee quite a lot which says uti but I don't no why anti biotics arnt working :( anyone else had this x

How long ago did you start taking the antibiotics? They may just need more time to work.

I have a friend who gets UTIs and swears by cranberry juice. Did your doc say you could try that in addition to the antibiotics?

Hi thanks I had one lot of antibiotics then had different ones still same :( my samples been sent to lab now so shud get results tomoz and hopefully right ones x

cranberry juice is really good will help speed getting rid of it up :)
