Are these symptoms typical for anxiety? I get them from time to time when I feel anxious, even if I don't have panic attacks:

- Increased sensitivity to sounds
- Blurred vision
- Lights too bright
- Constant feeling of angst inside
- Waking up very early in the morning (4.00 am) for just a few minutes
- Crazy, irrational thoughts
- Racing thoughts: random words popping up in my mind like "Salad" or "Machines", songs stuck for hours and memories of conversations I had popping in. Clarification: I don't hear voices, they're just internal thoughts.

So, can anyone relate? Are these common anxiety symptoms? Thank you.

Completely typical - your exhausted mind is suffering from sensory overload.
I've just started meditating, using guided meditation downloads and it's unbelievable how much my thoughts race while I'm trying to quieten my mind.
My heart races, my breath gets shallow, I feel exhausted and dizzy when anxiety hits.

Sounds like a variety of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) to me, though you don't mention any specific triggers (work, relationships, etc).

Thanks for the replies, I've always suffered from anxiety/Ocd , however when I'm particularly stressed (this time I think because of work overload) they get worse.
