Just checking in. Not been on as much as I was away for a few days and my mum's been ill so things were a bit upside down. Catching up but was hanging out on Misc mostly until the last few days.
Does Beth know you've saddled her with me? :biggrin: Thanks for the compliment on my sense of humour, Tracy, it's all Phill's influence :whistles:

Phill, no Australia Day thread this year and there I was telling hanshan on the Trump thread that you would likely be posting a thread to celebrate giving us the boot! :biggrin: I thought that's why Trump slammed the phone down on your guy, Turnbull telling him his country's lager is crap. :yesyes:

Beth doesn't know you two were saddled :noangel:. You were both away at the same time, so that is what led us to the conclusion that you had shacked up :D.
I have been doing pretty good. I stabalised on the medication for a few weeks, so we thought it would be a good idea to continue the Sertraline taper. It hasn't been too bad, apart from the last week. Lots of dizziness and feeling a bit spacey. I'm down to 37.5mg so am going to take the last bit a bit slower and maybe drop by 6.25 or something instead of 12. I have to drive for work and to pick the kids up and function, so I can't afford to be too affected by it. Fingers crossed, by dropping a smaller amount, it won't affect me as much. Glad you are back :flowers:

Never would have worked, Phill, what would we have to moan about? A cup of tea, standing in a queue for a bit, plenty of rain and a damn good moan. That's what being British is all about! :yesyes: We just invaded slowly...one branch of mine went out 3 generations back.
Even the Queen (that's Liz to you :winks:) likes a good whinge. Anus Horrobilis, "one is not amused" and all that. :biggrin:

She's mid seventies and can't stand for too long after she struggled when the statins were new, so chest infections tend to make her ribs sore and it takes weeks to go. She's just started sleeping in bed again, she had to sleep upright in a chair for weeks. It was the same after the pneumonia last year.
Glad to hear you are making progress, Tracy. I remember the unpleasant zaps when I came off Cit. It was worse when I finally stopped but it only lasted a couple of weeks. It sounds best to take it slow and judge things how they change. That's a really small dose anyway so you have done really well getting it down.

Sadly Phill it will mean Prince William & co coming in when she does. I would much prefer Liz! At least she doesn't go around blasting little furry creatures one week and lecturing us on preserving the wildlife of the world the next, including orphaned little furry creatures (probably shot by Wills & co the week before) :doh:, before condoning Mugabe's hunting expeditions. Besides, Prince Phillip is like a posh Trump so he's always been worth a laugh over the years. The most we've had out of Wills missus so far is a picture of her sisters bum! :biggrin:

For some reason our uni students go to Pomgolia for a year and work as bartenders when they finish their courses.
No idea why :shrug:

Might be. We have a bit of a crisis with junior doctors leaving the UK once qualified and Australia is one country mentioned. If they are Indian born, not sure as they have to spend years retraining before they can get a UK licence. A guy I worked with years ago came here with his family from India. His dad was a doctor and he had to work as a cabbie for years until he got his licence.
Your students sound like some of ours who go backpacking around places like Thailand.
