Hi Phil! I had to decrease the Sertraline down to 150mg. It is either that or the Mirtazapine (we doubled that also) that is too activating for me and pushes my anxiety up so much I feel like climbing the walls. I only decreased this morning so will have to see how the next few days go. so in short, no the meds still haven't been sorted and I really am starting to dislike being in hospital. I want to get better, but I want to go home to my own bed and house and family. I need to get better first...

I know everyone is different but I sometimes think that Drs are too quick to increase the dose.
I've been doing well on 50 mg for the last 18 mths but again that's me and you are a different person.
I can relate to wanting to go home where it's comfortable and you can be yourself.

I was on 100mg Sert for over 10 years. It is since it has pooped out the the problems have begun. Now they want to try Nortriptyline. I think when you are in hospital they trial something and if it doesn't work they try something else. The psych said if there was no improvement by Monday, than we will try the Nort. I tend to agree that they don't give it enough time, plus they change too many things at the same time, so you don't know what is causing what.

Karina, how is your daughter doing. Gee I wish I could do something to help you and your daughter. I wish with all my might that things improve soon. Holiday was great. Was good for my agoraphobia. My daughter often wanted to do stuff different to the boys so I had to go off on my own with her. I have also been practicing driving on my own and going to the shops. Each day I go a bit further. I am going to do a test run to the kids school tomorrow to see how I go (about half hour drive). I really miss dropping them off and picking them up on my own. I use to have to wait for mum to come over and come with me. Once I start to feel better though, I worry about how much medication I'm on and how am I going to come off it. I know I need to enjoy were I'm at and let the psych deal with the medication, or I will be back to square one.
How has your anxiety been? I think of you and your daughter often xx
