coughing up blood in the morning

So I started feeling sick about a week ago. Cough, sinus congestion. Well Sunday I wasn't any better so I decided to go to the urgent care. I told them my symptoms and they gave me a z pack and sent me on my way. Well now for the past two mornings I've woke up and coughup blood like four or five times then it seems to be gone for the rest of the day. Im really scared that it might be lung cancer since everything online says thats a symptom of it. Im 26 and only smoke like a half pack a day.

It's unlikely to be cancer at your age but couging up blood is still something you need to see your doctor about.

If it's an infection you'll need antibiotics to get rid of it.

I saw my dr and he put me on an antibiotic. Is just scary because its happened the past two mornings now. Ive had bronchitis before and never had this issue.
