how do you cope waiting for test results

Hi, I've got to go for my yearly ultrasound tomorrow on my thyroid gland. I have a goiter on there (very common apparently) but I'm always scared it's changed each year and they tell me I need a biopsy on one of the cysts/nodules. I really dread going and then waiting for the results, obviously I'm terrified I will have thyroid cancer. I've told myself I will handle it better this time and keep busy and try not to worry but I do find myself not being able to do it and then googling....any help I would appreciate, thanks!!

I'm a bit disappointed not one person replied yet 91 read it...surely others have coping techniques..I thought this forum was for support :weep:

Well I think it helped keeping busy as my Doctor emailed and said all was stable and to go back in a year so I'm ok for another year :D
