Pain that is worrying me :(

Hi,

I have had alot of left arm pain which seemed to be coming from my elbow, spoke briefly to the Dr and was advised that it was probably muscular.

Over the past few weeks the pain seemed to get worse while sitting watching TV at night, but it was manageable.

Last night I was in my mums house and the pain came on really strong, I do not know if it was the way I was sitting possibly turning my neck round all the time. The pain subsided after about an hour.

I came home and went straight to bed.

Does anyone else experience this? I am getting very worried about it all (typical anxiety). I would have thought that my anxiety was under control as I take Fluoxetine daily and propanalol.

Somedays I just wish the day away till bedtime as its the only relief I get.

I visited a specialist a few weeks ago and when they took my BP it was high, and I have since received a letter from my GP to make an appointment to see the nurse to have my BP taken again.

I am feeling very sad :(

is your arm very tense?

Tension and adrenaline acting on muscles for a prolonged time can cause aches and pains.

Could also be Repetitive Strain Injury.

Something as simple as typing can cause chronic tedonitis or tendonosis (forming of irregular collagen formations). Something like that isn't just going to go away, it takes targetted physiotherapy exercises etc. Maybe something worth looking into?

You have anxiety, of course your blood pressure is high! Everytime they take mine it's through the roof, but this gives very little indication as to what my resting BP is. Studies have shown that having your blood pressure taken by someine in a white coat will result in a higher BP than when taken by someone in plain clothes.

Just sayin...
