After giving birth 5 months ago I've had mild anxiety on and off. Over the past few weeks it's come to a head and I've had pretty much constant anxiety as well as anxiety attacks. It started with my thinking I had some life threatening illness. These thoughts appear to have subsided yet I'm still jittery and on edge, tense, nauseous, diarrhea and all number of other anxiety symptoms. I've been on 20mg duloxetine for a week. I know meds don't work straight away but I'm so desperate to feel myself again. I don't even want to be in my house alone. Please someone tell me I'll feel better soon

You'll be better soon. But duloxetine can take a while, so hang in there.

It takes time...in my case Xanax helped a lot, but always depends. Use whatever works for you

Giving birth used to be supposed to make mothers feel wonderful. Some years ago it was discovered that the reverse was often the case.

Your feelings should decrease over time, but please talk to your doctor about them. This is one problem that your doctor should be alert to.
