Finally went to optician about dry eyes, as eyes have been burning.
Optician said glands in eyelids are blocked and to use teabags as a compress.
Also said eyes look a bit dry and to use liquid drops.
Going to see GP for another referral to rheumatologist to check for sicca syndrome as also have a dry mouth.
I have had these symptoms before over the years and they go.
Just afraid I'm stuck with this now and these symptoms will NEVER go!

Afraid I have no sort of experience with what you are describing.

What I can say is that when I get anxious I get blood shot and irritated eyes, so are you sure it is not anxiety related?

The drops will help with the redness, I don't know if you've used them before? They're easy to do once you get the hang of it.

Why do you think you have Sicca Syndrome?

Ever since I had a really bad breakdown a few years ago I am prone to eye strain and dry eyes now and again. Like you say, it always goes away but I often worry that it won't. It is really unpleasant. I HATED drops before I tried them, but I quite like using them now, they really do help.
Maybe try to focus on getting everything you need to treat it and once you've done that try to take your mind off it x

If the worst you have to deal with in life is some dry mouth and dry eyes (both of which are quite easily treatable and remedied), then count yourself lucky. And Sicca Syndrome?... has to be a Dr Google diagnosis! :)
