fast heart beat - panicking and cant sleep

Hello tonight i feel like my heart is beating really fast and im freaking out and i hav to get up for work in the morning. Anyone got any reassurance? Wat cud be causing this?

Don't know if you are asleep yet ..hope so but just try to relax and take deep breaths....picture some place special to you ,somewhere calming or fun you have experienced and breathe deeply take in a deep breath and hold it and then count to five and gently release it through your nose and if you have any easy listening music put that on while doing this..you would be suprized how much it helps. I know first hand I just learned this about a month ago and it slows the heart and relaxes you .Good luck and hope you feel better.

hi im one to talk but you are probably causing your own elevated heart beat by listening to it/being aware and convincing yourself somethings wrong

ie my dad doesn't listen to his own heart where as I do its an ocd part of anxiety
