Am I having withdrawals from diazepam?

I've been taking diazepam for just over 2weeks. 5mg one a day. One day I had two as anxiety was just too intense. And some days I got by without one.

I've decided I wanna stop taking it as I'm scared of addiction.

This is now my 3rd day without one and I've started with really bad anxiety, nightmares and really really sensitive hearing. I don't know whether it's just my anxiety or withdrawals? I'm meant to start my new meds pregabalin today but because my anxiety is so bad I'm scared too.

It could be. You've only been on such a short while, but all of those benzos (as I've discovered) can cause withdrawal effects.

Speak to your doc of course, but don't just stop cold turkey. Start by tapering your daily dose down.

...no...this is your anxiety about taking pregabalin...as you said on your other thread. Take the pregabalin and half the diazepam as the DR said you will be fine.
