Hi,

I have medication anxiety. It all started with a severe reaction to a medication some years ago... I then reacted to the antidote. I now worry every time I have to take any medication, I will often refuse paracetamol, ibuprofen, antihistamines because I'm so anxious.

Problem is I'm going through fertility treatment and I'm preparing for a frozen embryo transfer... For this I have to inject burserelin (suppresses hormones), take oestrogen, progesterone, steroids and inject clexane (blood thinner).

Last week I almost didn't take prescribed antibiotics because I was worried about having a reaction.

I should be calm but I'm catastrophising everything.. Today I had a panic just injecting burserelin because I'm scared of anaphylaxis!

Does anyone know how I can deal with this? I know I'll take the meds any way because I would take that risk for a family.

Any tips, advice etc much appreciated. I'm not on any anxiety meds and obviously don't want to take them!

Please help!
