This is from another site as well.....

Eye tricks, Blurred vision, Eyes sensitive to light, Dry, watery or itchy eyes…
The sensations:
You may see stars or movements out of the corner of your eyes that don't exist. You may also see flashing lights in your eyes or your vision may seem almost kaleidoscope-like. Sometimes you may feel that there is a dark object or something just on the outside edge of your vision, or that your vision is narrowing.
It seems your vision is blurry or out of focus, and it's more apparent now than before.
There are times when your eyes seem more sensitive to light than at others, even to a point of regular light being too bright so that you have to wear sunglasses or squint.
You feel as though your eyes are either always dry, constantly watering or itchy. And often, your eyes are red or 'glossy' looking. Even a good night's rest doesn't help.
The reason:
Eyes are nerves. The nerves in the eyes send their information to the brain through the nervous system. When the nervous system is over active, the nerves in the eyes can play tricks on you which means we sometimes receive false information. These symptoms are some of the ways we receive this false information.
None of these symptoms are serious when they are attributed to anxiety disorder. However, it is important that you get a professional medical evaluation completed to ensure your condition is related to anxiety disorder.
As an example, at the height of a particularly stressful time in my life, my right eye began to experience blurry vision. My reading distance remained the same, however, objects at a distance were now blurry. I just thought it was because I was getting older, so I went to an optometrist and had an eye exam. The exam determined that I needed glasses to correct my right eye’s far sighted vision. When I received my glasses, everything was fine for awhile as the glasses helped me to see clearly again. However, months later, when the stressful events were long over, my right eye sight returned to normal again. This meant that my glasses used to accommodate my right eye were no longer needed. It was interesting to note how stress can affect even my eye sight.
As with all symptoms, when the nervous system gets sufficient rest, these symptoms will diminish and eventually subside.

Hi there!

I really don't think you have anything to worry about... When I focus on my eyes I can see all kinds of things in them that get into my field of vision. It would be very unusual for something serious to be wrong at your age, especially considering you recently had an eye test. If it would help, go in for another check, but don't worry in the meantime. You are going to be fine :)

I am sure your mom would send you to a doctor if she thought there was anything seriously wrong. Trust her... Moms always know best ;) I am sure you are fine!

You won't need one. It is caused by anxiety and they would have seen anything bad in your eyes at the time.

I get these all the time and though they are scarey they do go when you relax and not think about them.

With regard to worrying about your health - have you spoken to your GP about it?

Hi there, i also get weird vision that disturbs me. At one point everywhere i looked i could see black shapes. When i get up in the morning it takes about ten minutes for my eyes to return to normal as they are blurry. I also get a lot of after images like when i look at something and look away i can see it clearly again in black and white, it always seems to be circles more than anything but then again i can be watching the tv and look away and see the tv shape in black and white image. I have had my eyes tested to the point where it is ridiculous and all have came back fine, they even said i have the eyes of a 13 year old. But i know this can be quite frightening but nothing to worry about as i have been told on numerous occassions.x

Chris

Have a read of all the posts above and the links I gave.

It is anxiety causing it.

Hi.

Are you short sighted? If you are, you are more prone to floaters.

I suffered with a few but when I got really stressed out after a tragic death in my family, my floaters multiplied like crazy. I must of had about 20 - 30. My optician sent me to the eye hospital and they put drops in to make my pupils get bigger and they could see the floaters.

They said it was stress related.

even now, when I am stressed I appear to get more floaters and I notice them more.

Im sure if there was anything to worry about, your optician would have sent you to the eye department.

Please dont worry - take care - liz xx
