Could it completely swell??

I've got what I think is a swollen gland in the right side of my neck

It's not worrying me to much bar the fact I hve a dear of it completely swelling up and blocking my airway

I have a thing about swallowing food thinking it will choke me and I always think my breathing is funny so this is terrifying me

Could it block my airway??

My throat is not sore or anything either

If it is a swelling near your ears or under the jawline, no way can it interfere with breathing or choke you. The airway and throat are self contained tubes. It sounds like the little nodes that swell when you have an infection or are under the weather.

My daughter had them under her jaw when she was about 6 and they stayed for weeks. I got pretty worried because she wasn't ill and had no other symptoms but my gp said not to worry and they went eventually. Give it a while then go to the docs if they don't go, they would probably give you anti biotics.
