I've had migraines for years and they do make you sick to the stomach and they are painful. You don't have a brain tumor.:D

Hi. Thanks for the reply, it made me feel better. I took tablets which got rid of the migraine but i still have a headache is this normal after a migraine? Could this really be anxiety? Does anyone else wake up with sinus type headaches? Im just feeling so depressed at the mo.

Hi Louise,

Just wanted to say that headaches can absolutely be a sign of anxiety and nothing more serious at all to worry about.

My sister had an absolutely awful migraine in the summer, she was in tears with it, she slept it off and said that she had a lesser headache for hours after. She was much better within 24 hours or so x

are you dehydrated at all? i have sinus headaches and they are brought on by changes in the weather or if i catch a cold. i think that a lot of people forget to take fluids properly when the weather becomes cold because you dont feel so thirsty and the drinks that you are more likely to drink are hot like tea or coffee which wont properly hydrate you. if you dont do it already try to add a couple of glasses of water a day to your routine. just down each in one of you cant be bother nursing a glass of something that you dont want to consume. it is a simple thing to do and something the body needs but that many people neglect. headaches can very often be a symptom of not consuming enough fluid and i personally check all these boxes if i have any worrying illness and make sure that i am at least keeping my body as tip top as manageable should i need to go see a doctor i can instantly eliminate a few obvious causes. do you eat properly? sleep regular hours? i dont! ..and that is my downfall and puts me back in the firing line for another throat constricting heart attacking panic attack!

if you are having headaches above your brow and around your eyes you may want to clear your sinuses by breathing in some vicks or something, if you have any green mucus then it is likely that you have a sinus infection which will need antibiotic treatment from a doctor. hope you get better soon.

Thanks so much for your replies. Today i still have a sort of sinus type headache so im panicking again, no one has this many headaches unless its a brain tumour? Or could it be sinus cancer? I feel a burning sort of sensation in my head anyone have that? Would it be ok to take ibuprofen again?

have you tried clearing your sinuses? you say its a sinus headache so it probably is just your sinuses that are blocked. there is no need to suspect anything else. a sinus headache if you are badly blocked or if your sinuses are infected can be pretty much on level with a migraine in pain discomfort terms. is there a position in which you put your head that eases your headache at all?

I need to try clearing my sinuses any tips on how to do this? I have now taken some tablets and hopefully they help a bit with the pain. If i tillt my head a bit it eases the headache a bit. Are u sure a migraine two days in a row isnt a brain tumour? Im so anxious and stressed about this .

tilting your head and getting a little relief sounds like sinuses!

i get little sinus headaches now and then if i have a cold or something but ive had them bad during this period once when i had a sinus infection.

i cleared my sinuses by filling a sink or a bowl with very hot-not boiling water, put some vicks vapour rub or tigerbalm in the water, put a towel over my head and the sink ans breathe it all in for 10 minutes ro as long as i can tolerate it for.

you can do it just with steam but i havnt tried it though i have noticed a hot shower will ease a sinus headache through its steam.

give it a try-if you can sort it a little, get a little positive response then at least you will know the reason for your headaches no?

Hi again. I woke up with a bad headache again so i tried the hot water with vicks idea and my sinuses do feel slightly clearer but i still have the headache so i have had to take tablets again. For about the last week i have been taking 2 ibuprofen every two hours. Is that really bad for you? This has to be a brain tumour doesnt it? Or could it be sinus cancer? Im so scared right now.

does your headache feel better if you tilt your head forwards or better if you tilt it backwards? the inhalation thing is something that you can do twice a day or so until you are clear. if you do have an infected sinus then you are going to need antibiotics.

Yea it feels slightly better when i tilt my head to the side. I took my little boy to a play area this evening and i felt a little better but i know tomorrow im gonna have a bad headache again. I also now have some eye pain which i know could be linked to a brain tumour? Also a couple of times at the play area i got a little electric shock off the play soft play stuff could this be linked to a brain tumour? Im freaking out again.

Hi Louise,

I totally understand your fear of just dropping dead from a BT or anyurism because I was convincing myself of the same. It got pretty bad, with me thinking about death, how my family would react, etc etc. It was pretty out there considering I am only 26 and only have a few non-serious health concerns.

You need to take some deep breaths and tell yourself to stop diagnosing yourself with a terminal illness. This website honestly helped me a lot-read other people's fears and symptoms and you will start to see that health anxiety is common and can really drive you up the wall. Headaches are very VERY common and there are 1000 causes for them from poor eyesight, jaw issues, tension, stress, weather, sinuses, etc. Try to narrow down the causes of the headache first. Keep in mind that headaches are rarely the only sign of a BT. I have been seeing a neurologist and he does a full physical on me each time, where he makes me walk with my eyes closed, tests my reflexes, watches my eye movements, etc. Tumours are masses in your brain and usually cause some cognitive/physical signs such as being very dizzy, eye drooping, being confused, unable to speak properly etc. Your symptoms just sound like a tension headache. I get a mix of tension and ice pick headaches. They can send terror through your body and you will start to feel other symptoms, like shakiness, heart racing, getting hot and nauseous, etc.
The cause of my attacks has not been determined yet but they have been pretty consistent for a year with nothing getting worse which is a good sign.
If you dont usually get headaches and they persist, go see a doctor as they be able to put your mind at rest. Reading about your current train of thought (it MUST be a brain tumour right?) it seems you are in a state that will exaggerate your symptoms due to panicking.

Best of luck,

you got a static shock of some rubber matting in a play area? that is a static shock-go to a casino in las vegas and scrape you feet on the carpets and touch the brass rails everywhere..people have set themselves on fire from such shocks given the right combination of wool and 1970s polyester.

it was a static shock!

sinus headaches will given you a headache around your eyes. take a look at a picture of the sinus areas.

do you have a runny nose or have you been in a dusty environment do you spend a lot of time outside?

Hi. No i dont have a runny nose but my nose does feel conjested and blocked and thanks for your post sarainadream. I have another problem now, tonight i decided to try inhaling vicks but it doesnt seem to wash off hands very easily and i touched my nostril and it started to burn and so i washed the area with water so will i be ok? Also i thought it would be a good idea to put some in my bath but its just got all over my skin and now its made my skin feel cold and weird am i gonna be ok? Im really scared.

hahah! sorry! vicks is horrible stuff if used incorrectly! yes it will make your skin cold its menthol! shouldnt laugh but its not going to harm you! dont get it anywhere where intimate because i think i remember that it might burn! not skin peeling burning just burning sensation-nothing to worry about except you will feel very much alive!

wash it all off-do not put it in your eyes-i would go to the gp and NOT mention panics but congestion, consistent headaches and see if you get some antibiotics for a sinus infection.

nothing to be scared of with the vicks : )

make sure you wash your sink and bath properly as it likes to stick to things and you dont want a repeat of tonight im certain!

dont be scared though-ive done it myself-my partner is a biologist and ive asked her everything about it when i did it to myself so dont worry yourself you are safe ok : )

Hi again. Well its that time of day again and i have a banging headache/migraine. Whats going on? Also its always on my right hand side of my head so this has to brain tumour? I have migraines everyday and its always on the same side where the tumour could be located.

My headaches are ALWAYS one sided and for that reason, I felt sure it was a BT. For some reason I am less scared of a full headache. Pain on one side does not =brain tumour. As I noted earlier, there are many other signs and just a headache is not the sign of one. If headaches are not typical for you I would recommend a doctor visit as they will be able to suggest things for you to try.

Side note, docs have not found the cause of my daily headaches and decided to just label them as chronic. DO NOT over-medicate. I was taking 4-6 extra strength tylenols a day and my neurologist freaked out. You will end up giving yourself rebound headaches (they get more and more used to painkillers and the pain gets nastier, and over the counter meds stop working). They are also not easy on your stomach/liver. I now try to limit myself to 2 Tylenol or aspirin a week.

I had a really bad headache everyday for five months. I was convinced it was a brain tumour, but it wasn't!

Go to your doctor if it doesn't go away, speak to him/her, they really do know what's best.

Sometimes, when I have a really bad migraine day, I get debilitating pains, nausea and a very weird vision. So that sounds totally like a migraine to me. Try to be nice to yourself and rest. A big hug.
