why am o thinking like this

I have different ocd over the years concerning my boy and many other things. I'm now being plagued by thoughts of meeting a lady that I met at my father in laws funeral. For some strange reason my thought is telling me to go and see her but I can't understand why nothing happens OK I looked at her and spoke to her but that was it.
On the day I left the funeral and it honestly nothing enters my mind. It was only when I woke up I thought about it and now I have brainlock.
I love my wife and family but I'm so scared and I'm not looking forward to Xmas why is my thoughts telling me to do this please help. Having anxiety attacks. Thanks

If your mind becomes easily fixated on mental suggestions like this then suggest multiple things to yourself and bury it.

There's no need to become fixated on one of the suggestions you've had when you can suggest so many things to yourself. Get that imagination working and just lose this suggestion under an avalanche of other random suggestions.

The more ridiculous the suggestion the better.
