View Full Version : Melanoma painless?

If I have a mole and showed the GP just last week who said it was dark but perfectly healthy, and have shown previous GPs over the years, then unless it has changed I don't need to worry right?

I feel a pain around the area of my mole. Like a stinging, sometimes when I walk or bend down.

I don't want to google but does anyone know if an early stage melanoma that isn't growing or changing would actually hurt/sting?

If maybe I knew that the funny stingy pain I am feeling in that area is not a sign of it I might be able to relax.

It's small but very dark.

one GP said that yes, it is almost black but it was ok because it wasn't jet monochrome black.

Hypo,
Read you own post and then imagine it is written by someone else. What would your advise be to that person?

I would tell them to stop being stupid and while I might have some odd pain in that area it doesn't mean it is related to the mole, and it is probably no coincidence that it didn;t hurt before I started to worry about it.
