Hi Beckie, I am the same age as your Mum and have had the same problem. It turned out to be a benign polyp which are quite common in women of our age and not serious at all.

Hi Beckie, I'm also the same age and I had a really heavy bleed last year after not seeing a period for about 4 years. I had an internal scan and everything was ok, doctor at hospital couldn't explain it said ' your plumbing is all fine so it's just one of those things!!!!!!

Hi. My mum has just gone through the same thing. She had an ultrasound then two biopsies and blood tests. It took ages for results but all was ok. They said it was her age and sometimes it's because your body is so use to having periods this sometimes happens. Try not to worry my mum was told it's quite common for this to happen. Hope all will be ok for your mum x
