What do you guys think?

Hi everyone,
Just wondering what you think and what you would do next.

I've had alternating constipation and loose stool.
This has been happening for 3 months.

Blood tests normal

Stool test negative for blood.

Cal proctatin (?) test normal.

Dr says likely IBS and as everything is normal there is no reason to do a colonoscopy.

What would you do?
I still have constipation, I'm worried it might something neurological or colon cancer.

Would you ask for further investigation?
Dr says if it were anything "suspicious" that something would have shown on blood test.

Learn to trust your doc is the next step. It's hard but essential.

Absolutely agree. Ultimately they won't refer you unless they think it is medically necessary and sensible. Sounds like they don't and they think there is nothing worth worrying about, other than IBS - a common anxiety associated disorder. You have to find a way of trusting medics.
