That Age

So I hit the age where going for a smear test is a natural thing. Safe to say I was nervous to the point of having a panic attack on the day (yesterday) but now I am losing sleep because I have two whole weeks to wait for a result. I keep trying to tell myself that thousands of women go through this but I have an awful feeling that it's going to come back as a bad result. I'm really worried. Should I talk to my doctor or is this normal? I can't sleep :(

It is normal to worry about things like this and if there is anything to worry about (which is unlikely) then they would contact you sooner rather than later.
